About Event

Biomarker is a characteristic that is objectively measured and evaluated as an indicator of normal biological processes, pathogenic processes or pharmacological responses to a therapeutic intervention. The role of biomarkers in drug discovery and development has gained precedence
over the years. As biomarkers become
integrated into drug development and
clinical trials, quality assurance and in
particular assay validation becomes
essential with the need to establish
standardized guidelines for analytical
methods used in biomarker
measurements. The emergence of the
field of bioanalysis in drug discovery and
drug development is well understood and
globally accepted. The aim of this workshop is to understand the current state-of-the art in the development of
biomarkers, issues involved in their future development and its use. Further, this workshop also highlights the importance of the drug safety concept and its impact on patients’ health.
